When you receive you engagement ring, it is easy to get lost in the romance and none of us consider the shape of our wedding ring until the time comes to walk down the aisle. One of the biggest things many brides don’t realise is that not every wedding band will sit neatly against their engagement ring.
That’s where shaped to fit wedding rings come in.
Also known as fitted wedding bands, curved wedding rings or contour wedding rings, these bespoke designs are created to follow the shape of your engagement ring for a seamless and flush finish.
At Holly Robinson Jewellery, we create bespoke shape to fit wedding rings for clients across the UK, designing each piece individually to complement your engagement ring beautifully.

What Is a Shaped to Fit Wedding Ring?
A shaped to fit wedding ring is designed specifically around the setting and shape of your engagement ring.
Rather than leaving a visible gap between the two rings, the wedding band curves or contours around the centre stone and setting so the rings sit together perfectly.
This creates:
A more seamless overall look
Better comfort when worn daily
Less rubbing between rings
A complementary look where both rings look like they were made together
Shape to fit wedding bands are especially popular with:
Oval engagement rings
Pear cut diamonds
Trilogy rings
Hidden halo settings
Low-set engagement rings
Vintage-inspired rings
Bespoke engagement ring designs
Why Straight Wedding Rings Don’t Always Sit Flush
Most engagement rings have the centerpiece elevated to allow a wedding ring to sit parallel, these designs are known as 'wedfit.' Engagement rings are designed with low settings or intricate detailing don't fit against a traditional straight wedding band.
This can leave:
An awkward gap between rings
Uneven stacking
Increased wear over time
A less balanced appearance

At Holly Robinson Jewellery, every fitted wedding band is designed individually to ensure the proportions, curves and overall finish feel beautifully cohesive.
